Denzel Curry returns with another off the cuff visual for his latest record "Clout Cobain".
Denzel Curry follows his previously-released tracks "Percs" and "Sumo," with this new record that deals with personal demons stemming from being in the limelight. Over a bouncy trap groove, he highlights the struggles artists in this modern age face in order to stay true to themselves while clout chasing.
The Zev Deans directed visual finds Denzel at the center of a twisted, drug-addled circus as he contemplates the cyclical nature of temporary fame and being a pawn in the industry. Denzel acts as that centerpiece in this metaphor, he's the star of the show as the clown, but under the control of the ringmaster and at the discretion of the crowd. "Clout Cobain" is an inspirational wake-up call to fellow artists and their fans that this cyclical modern day minstrel show does end lives prematurely and ultimately, its the artists who can break the influence of the industry's ringmasters.
Along with the visual, Denzel is announcing that his highly-anticipated third album TA13OO will be released in three acts. The first act, Light, will be released July 25th, followed by Gray on July 26th and Dark on July 27th. Each previously-released single represents one of the album's acts, as "Sumo" represents Light, "Clout Cobain" represents Gray, and "Percs" represents Dark, which comes together cohesively to form TA13OO.
