Ipswich-born songstress Hannah Scott is about to release her new album Pieces of Night. Along with her musical partner Stefano Della Cassa, Scott has released the final single, "No Gravity," before the album release on June 22.
The synth-heavy track is celestial and ethereal; "No Gravity" musically captures a floating feeling. Scott's vocal is gentle and mimics a dream. The lyrics are sharp. “‘No Gravity’ is about that place or person that when you come into their contact everything just falls into place and nothing else matters… It feels fitting to be releasing this as the final single before the album,” Scott says, adding that the album at its core is about "celebrating family and friendship, in praise of the differences between us… encouraging hope and strength in the face of adversity."
Pieces of Night was written after Scott's diagnosis of arthritis, and the writing process helped both her and Della Cassa through some difficult moments.
