Grammy award-winning record producer Charlie Peacock comes through with quite a masterful ensemble on his latest record "Wendell Berry in the Fields at Night.". Like the title suggests, the record is a tribute to celebrated southern agrarian-poet of the same name. As the sonic architect behind best-selling music duo The Civil Wars, Peacock is largely known for his deft and moving productions and this new record is no exception. It's rousing, groovy and so full of life. Every single detail of the song is so magnified from the horns, the the throbbing bass section to the dreamy piano riffs.
"Wendell Berry in the Fields at Night." is off Charlie Peacock recently released project 'When Light Flashes,'. The project is his 4th jazz recording and features saxophonist Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones), Jim Black collaborator Hilmar Jensson on guitar, bassist Felix Pastorius, drummer Ben Perowsky and trumpeter Matthew White.
