Australian Artist Vance Joy returns with new single 'Like Gold' from forthcoming album Nation Of Two, due at the beginning of next year. This is the second single from his first new album since 2014's successful breakout Dream Your Life Away, which put Joy on the map for alternative folk music with songs such as 'Riptide' and 'Mess is Mine.' His newest work is just as catchy as the previous singles that made him famous, but 'Like Gold' slows things down and brings listeners something more mellow and laid back than before.
Written earlier in 2016, 'Like Gold' was inspired by looking back at memories of a relationship, a reoccurring theme that sits as the basis of most of Nation Of Two. The first single from the upcoming album, 'Lay It On Me,' found joy collaborating with fellow artist Mimi Cave of Sylvan Esso and tUnE-yArDs for the music video, which also features actress Angela Sarafyan.
