Australian born, Nashville-based, Multi-instrumentalist, Lonely Benson is kicking off this Friday with a cult classic. Taking a dig into his vaults, he's re-imagining Hall & Oates’ classic cut, “I Can’t Go For That” (No Can Do)”. Putting his own modern indie-pop spin on the single, the new version is complete with funky synths and a groove worthy baseline. To add to that he's even throwing in a bossa nova influenced bridge, complete with airy flute-work and all that jazz. “The intention is to create songs that set a relaxing atmosphere, calming the mind. I call it lounge-rock. You can call it whatever you'd like,” shares Lonely Benson. It's a fun one to say the least and we hope you enjoy the first listen above.
