Age Of Love's self-titled track "The Age Of Love" is an outright classic for dance music. Released back in 1990, its percussive heavy structure has stood the test of time and still does damage on the dancefloor.
"The Age Of Love" is reminiscent of a time when trance and techno were closely linked. Although the genres can seem worlds apart now, trance is enjoying a revival at the minute and many DJs choose to throw in classics from the genre.
Bosnian favourite Solomun has been getting in on the action himself, teasing out his remix of "The Age Of Love" all year. Appropriately titled (Solomun Renaissance Remix), the remix is released on Renaissance this Friday, July 21st.
Solomun adds his spine-tingling dynamic touch onto the original without overpowering it. The vinyl will also include the “Jam & Spoon Watch Out For Stella Mix” on the B-side.
Renaissance celebrates 25 years with Renaissance The ReMix Collection, a series of remixes to set classics upon the new generation of clubbers and Solomun gets it off to a fine start.
