It looks like Grammy-nominated producer and chairman of the Cherrytree Music Company, Martin Kierszenbaum has a crazy knack for just about everything. He's also in a group with Dave Aude called JX RIDERS, which was spun on KISS in London and has also been featured in Spotify's New Music Friday. Besides everything I just mentioned above, Martin is also known as Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, and makes super cool remixes such as his recent rendition of Skylar Stecker's song "How Did We", which is featured in your favorite new teen romance film of the summer, Everything Everything.
The original song is an upbeat pop tune ready for your summer playlists and it's delicious, good fun for the ears. Cherry Cherry Boom Boom's remix is more reminiscent of the music coming from the vibrant 80s. Actually, the producer titled his remix the "Shermer High" remix, which, if you remember was the high school featured in a ton of John Hughes movies about teens back in the 80s including The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. While the remix keeps the upbeat tempo of the original, it also has an extra flair of brightness that creates a completely new vibe. Cherry Cherry Boom Boom played all the instruments on this remix himself, and after taking a listen, it's pretty evident that this isn't your typical remix. It's got the confident, fleshed-out qualities of a remix that's irresistible to the ears and heavy on the 80s nostalgia.
