PWR BTTM is Ben Hopkins and Liv Bruce, a queercore duo based out of Hudson, NY. They’ve just shared “LOL”, from their highly anticipated forthcoming LP, Pageant, due May 12th on Polyvinyl Records.

“LOL” is the third track released to date from the new album, following the brilliant pairing of “Big Beautiful Day” and “Answer My Text” from earlier this year. Hopkins’ vocal performance is the main event, particularly on pivotal lyric “When you are queer you’re always nineteen”. Despite its glib title, “LOL” is a soaring piece of wistful power pop – starting out as a boilerplate crooner before steadily building to an extravagant, expansive climax.
