Young person Jeffrey Melvin who also goes by Melvv (pronounced like "melv") released this new tune with Dana Williams and it's got a swing and a step to it that makes it decently appropriate to bump in the car.
"Lifeline" shows off MELVV's production chops, with a playful sonic palette to keep your ears bouncing around in the ball pit while Dana Williams' easy-breezy vocals make you feel like there is no need to be upset, ever. Or at least while you're listening to this song. Lyrically speaking, "Lifeline" is a whole different story; in fact, the song itself is about the way Dana feels post-breakup ("Remember when you said that we would last a lifetime / But now I find myself just looking for a lifeline"). However, there's something extremely liberating about the vocals which make you feel like "Lifeline" is an empowering "moving on" song rather than one of those moody breakup songs masked in happy production.
