Attention Los Angeles bassheads: this one is for you. Warpaint Records, a label dedicated to blending together the elements of electronic music, art and writing, has partnered up with the legendary Union Nightclub for a massive debut showcase of all the label's talent. Happening on January 19th, the showcase will include a sets from FOMO and English Lit, as well as back-to-backs with AzKore, Brothers Grim, Bass Craft, Venon, Control and LVNKY.
Founded in 2015 by brothers Kris and Jeffrey Ware, Warpaint Records enters its third year as a space where musicians can be collaborative in unique ways to create music outside of the norm. The label has seen much success over the past few years with English Lit's Beatport #1 Neverland EP on the dubstep chart and Bass Craft's #8 spot on the dubstep and electro house Beatport charts for his Blast Off EP, as well as Matt Kali's viral hit "Don't Make Me" on Spotify.
The showcase promises to be a night a intense bass as the label's roster comes out to party under one roof. Label founders John Mullinix, plus Kris and Jeff, had a few words about how exciting of a time it is for Warpaint Records:
"Our first showcase in LA is special to all of us as it connects our beginnings on the East Coast with our expansion and large primary artist base on the West Coast. It truly forms the unity we so dearly promote. This coincides with the fact that for many of these artists, this will be their first major show under their aliases in their hometown".
