France's Tom Tyger first caught our attention years ago when one of his many releases on Nicky Romero's Protocol Recordings got massively remixed by Dyro. The Lyon, France-based artist has an edge to his music, a unique personality that has certainly evolved since big room house's heyday. He's still a darling of Protocol, with his latest "I Need U" released on the label, but now has the added relationships with labels like DOORN and Spinnin'.
Next week, he'll embark out with a new label partnership in Carter Recordings. Headed up by Tom Staar and Kryder together, the imprint seeks out fun-loving, worldly records with special authentic house flare. And that's exactly what we find in Tom Tyger's latest track, "Dimini." With a house groove unique to summer island getaways, "Dimini" seeks to inject some fun into a market that is "too serious" and takes itself too seriously.
