Daniel Avery's incredible 2013 album, Drone Logic, left numerous remix singles in its wake, but he's been quiet otherwise, DJing and riding the success of his phenomenal debut. He's back now – at least with a couple of new tracks – the Sensation / Clear 12" will be out November 27 through Phantasy Sound. "Sensation" is available to hear now, and it's a doozy, full of murky, sickly sounds that seem to come from the depths of the Earth somewhere. Here Avery is far away from his romantic side, and more interested in creating a sinister, industrial feel.
There may be a full length follow up to Drone Logic on the horizon, only time will tell. For now, Avery's just doing his thing, Djing b2b with Roman Flügel at fabriclondon tomorrow, and playing the occasional European gig over the coming months. Hear "Sensation" below.
