Earlier this year, pioneering electronic duo Groove Armada announced they would be embarking on an impressive new project: their Little Black Book series. That came ahead of the album of the same name and an attempt to modernize and challenge the declining relevance of an album release, making it a combination of an album, remix and mix compilation. And though the 34-track release posed a lot of work, the group returned this past Friday to release yet another original single entitled "Call Me." Though originally on Little Black Book, this version of the track is elongated, reworked and insistent as a Groove Armada production.
That's not the end of "Call Me," either. Invited along for the ride is a major voice of Spanish techno and tech house, Henry Saiz. And Saiz's remix moves quickly, immediately grabs you within the first seconds of listening to it with a heavyweight, simple bass drum beat that is simple but infectious at the same time.
