It's no doubt that Chicago and Atlanta have been at the forefront of rap music this past year. One Chicago group you need to get acquainted with is Pivot Gang, founded by Saba, Joseph Chillians, John Walt, and MfnMelo. The group has several mixtapes out, most notably the tour de force that is Saba's Comfort Zone.
This week, one of their members, Squeak, put forth his first release under his own Soundcloud, "Last Saiyan," with additional production by Flex Lennon. This is Squeak's ode to his two loves, Dragon Ball Z and the goddess, Aaliyah. Beginning with a heartwarming snippet of Goku, just as he says, "Will you marry me?," we hear Aaliyah come in and take us away.
