The homie William Bolton can do no wrong. I've talked about my love for the crooner in the past, but this guy always brings his A-game when it comes to his craft. After putting in work in New York City this summer for this upcoming album, Love Supreme, Will's delivered a B-side to keep us satisfied while we wait. Inspired by a bad break up, "Fading" is a soulful slice of hip hop that's self-reflective and, at times, full of melancholy.

What I dig about Will is how refreshing his music is. You won't find any Scandinavian button pushers or over-the-top studio gangsters who are, to borrow a memorable line from the wunderkind Vince Staples, "kitten soft but in their songs they trappin hard as Jeezy." There's a clear theme of authenticity with his work, who's a wiz when it comes to writing, producing and performing music.
"Fading" reminds me of how innocence we all are during the summer season. It's a time to explore the world, try new things, make mistakes and learn from our experiences (and if you didn't do any of that because you were hustling at that internship or in summer school, I feel your struggle, dear Internet user. Your time will come.) Speaking of which, the biggest mistake you can probably make is skipping out on Will's Soundcloud. I suggest you give it a deep dive over the next few days and catch up with his work; you won't be disappointed.
