Here at EARMILK, we are proponents of good music, no matter where it comes from. But it just so happens that much of the music we post – whether indie, dance or hip hop – happens to come from the UK. A few weeks ago, we announced our partnership with British Airways for the celebration of their latest perk for passengers: an in flight music program called Listen Up, featuring exclusive content on all the music and relevant destinations that the UK has to offer. Last week, we got an inside look at the tour experience of London's singer-songwriting trio, The Staves. And this week, we've got an up close and personal view of the UK music festival experience from the band Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Known as "The Bottlemen," for short, Catfish and the Bottlemen was formed in Wales in 2007, finding their love for rock music in common over a song by The Beatles. Their debut album, The Balcony, went gold in the UK after its release late in 2014. Since then, the guys have been touring, selling out international venues like New York City's iconic Webster Hall last week and hitting up festivals like Glastonbury later this month. Today they've shared their perspective on touring worldwide at those festivals in a video collaboration with British Airways. Through their cheeky explanations, they detail the uniqueness to UK festivals: the circus-like chaos, the fans, and the unique opportunity artists have by playing at festivals – the ability to get your music heard by new people.

Upcoming Tour Dates:

  • Wednesday 24 June 2015 – Sunday 28 June 2015 – Glastonbury Festival 2015
