On June 22, 2015, German producer Boys Noize will be releasing Strictly Raw, Vol. 1, an album covering all the bases of what makes up psychedelic, gritty, ruthless acid house music and maybe even more. It's been set to feature collaborations with young Los Angeles native Pilo on bass rupturing track "Cerebral" and Tiga on "808-Iraq".
Boys Noize and T.E.E.D. have put together "Spacer", a consistent attack on the darkest corners of our minds, iron staffs echoing through empty space and intergalactic drops vibrating against them. There's a taste of old school synthesizer wobbles and relentless hi-hat progressions, and an eerie episode of memory. It's not a track that'll send you spiraling in heart-bumping kick drum bass, but incredible progression in darkness. It'll narrate a strange alternative to the squelching bass characteristic of acid house.
All the same, it sounds like there's something we're looking forward to when Strictly Raw, Vol. 1 drops in late June on Boysnoize Records. Pre-order it here on iTunes.
