There's a fair share of upbeat party anthems out there, but New Jersey's DEF Bananas show they can turn up and drop bars in their latest joint, "Turn The Lights Down." This is truly an invigorating, feel-good track and the music video – featuring dancers from Syracuse University's Outlaws Dance Troupe – adds even more energy and positive vibes to the song.

While the electro house production in "Turn The Lights Down" is conducive to fist-pumping, the pace slows down at the beginning of the verses, allowing the emcees to serenade their prospective fly honeys with some smooth lines like:
I met this dope shawty at this party right/So fine turned my Dratini into Dragonite
It's also refreshing that each of DEF Bananas' members – Kam DeLa Coopsta VII, Mr. Lugo, and GQ – has their own unique steelo, a rarity in today's cluster of fad-hungry sound-alikes. This stylistic variety adds even more depth and newness to a record that already feels like fast-forwarded Zapp & Roger with a splash of purple drank.

I'm V8-juiced for the next release from these dudes, whether the lights are down low or pitch black or on strobe. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more DEF Bananas on EARMILK and show these cats some love on the Twittersphere!
