Lecrae paints troubling but accurate portrait in "Welcome to America" [Video]

Storytelling is seemingly a lost art in contemporary hip hop, an intricate device only utilized by the game's most seasoned spitters. Fortunately for us, Grammy-winning artist Lecrae knows how to employ words as narrative brushstrokes and proves it with his provocative joint entitled, "Welcome to America."

The music video for "Welcome to America," a politically charged number off Lecrae's 2014 album, Anomaly, just dropped, and helps drive home the song's powerful imagery. The track offers a multifaceted look at the U.S. from the perspectives of a drug dealer, soldier and immigrant – all of which are effectively characterized through gripping montage footage.

Peep out the visuals below, and don't forget to treat your ears to the rest of Anomaly!
