For the record, Edo.G is one of the finest underground emcees to ever grace the mic. I know I'm opening up a can of worms with a statement like that, but the proof is on wax for the haters and nonbelievers. His track record is unlike most rappers for one reason: over the years, he's build up a solid work ethic and has worked with the likes of DJ Premier, RZA, Common, and Black Thought. He's expanded from his cult status in the streets of Boston to gain fans all over the world, but if you've been sleeping on Edo, "Make Music" is the perfect track to get hip to his work.
Lyrically, G is a hard act to follow. His fluid wordplay over a chilled out, snappy beat from the legendary Pete Rock will get the nod of approval for rap fans old and new. Much like his rhyming style, the video keeps opts for a gritty, no color portrayal of Edo's day to day adventures. Peep Edo's latest album, After All These Years, and enjoy some great hip hop.
