Blossoming out from being a one man band, Hillström & Billy can now be thought of as a collective led by Petter Hillström. With numerous albums under their belt Hillström & Billy are back after an 18 month hiatus with an album expected out within the next few months. As the opener to the LP, Hillström & Billy release the single "The Arising".
Taking on musical influence from many directions, "The Arising" is built around a strong feeling of longing, where both the vocals and instrumentals tug with sustain. As the song progresses, the wide-instrumentation seem to really come into its own, playing off of itself to draw attention to the many different elements throughout. As a whole, "The Arising" showcases a talented group of musicians that come together to form a cohesive, heartfelt force.
