NYC's rising experimental hip-hop trio Ratking are still making waves with their pivotal debut album So It Goes, from when it was released late last year on XL Recordings. The group has managed to combine the grittiness and lyrical virtuosity of the classic New York hip-hop scene with bits of UK grime, punk, and drum n' bass influence in order to craft some of the most forward thinking hip-hop tracks of recent memory.
Today the group has finally released the long-awaited video for one of the more memorable tracks of the project titled "Snow Beach". The grayscale visual, directed by Ari Marcopoulis, features the members of the group wandering aimlessly through a snow covered Coony Island. This is a simple concept, but one that fully manages to encapsulate the dire feeling of living in New York City in the winter time.
