Based out of London and Marseille, Harold Boué, aka Abstraxion, strives to make electronic music that is as organic as possible. Having produced music for almost ten years, his impressive 2013 album, Break of Lights, was released both on HAKT Recordings and on Nicolas Jaar's label, Other People. Abstraxion's production work has gained him the support of some of the biggest names in dance music, from Simian Mobile Disco to Erol Alkan. Today we're happy to premiere the follow-up project to Break of Lights, his innovative new I Can't EP.
The release opens with "I Can't", a warm and melodic track with a dance floor ready tempo. The hypnotic and sci-fi-esque "Never Thought" is next, followed by two remixes for "Around Me", which round out the EP. "Around Me (Fairmont Remix)" is synth-heavy with a bouncy bassline, while "Around Me (My Favourite Robot Remix)" is minimal and psychadelic.
The I Can't EP is available for purchase on December 8th via HAKT Recordings. Stream it on Soundcloud and check out a live performance of "Never Thought" below.
