Wu Tang Clan show off their “Necklace”

A Better Tomorrow, Wu Tang Clan's highly anticipated album, will see the light of day in less than two weeks. While some of the project's previous releases have been lukewarm–""Ron O Neal" and "Ruckus in B Minor" didn't have the same re-playability factor as tracks like "Keep Watch" did–the martial arts loving syndicate have come through with a joint that is sure to get you pumped for the album. "Necklace," with its eerie, sinister beat from producer 4th Disciple, is the ode to the hip hop fashion staple that we desperately need.

Stylistically, "Necklace" keeps things straight by relying on the group's troupes: vivid wordplay, wild styles and samples of kung-fu flicks to weave a narrative. The track has no weak links; Capadonna, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and GZA hold nothing back on their quest to show love to their bling–although GFK gets an honourable mention for the line, "scrubbin' chain down in Colgate."
