Juna Cosmos shows his supreme potential, with brand new project ‘Mindless’

Straddling the awkward divide between beatsmith and talented lyricist is not something that I initially thought Juna Cosmos had in his locker, and when I first heard that he was releasing his first single as a rapper I was sceptical. Don't get me wrong, his beats that I'd heard on fellow Brit Paper Plates EP were incredibly dope, but so many people fall foul of switching from producer to rapper. However I was left pleasantly surprised when I heard his first effort "Da Vinci Prophet", as his sharp flow and triumphant tones left me wanting more.

With a flurry of singles now released, the time for Juna to release his debut project in it's entirety is here, and in Mindless we have a very strong benchmark set for the young Londoner. Sitting at ten tracks deep, this mixtape is not only hefty in size, but the content never waivers. With the project being completely self-produced, Cosmos has called upon a couple of friends to drop guest verses, including the aforementioned Paper Plates and Ace DeLarge, whilst his insturmentals range from the more disjointed beats, to some trapped up bangers ready for the party. Mindless serves as the perfect platform for Juna to demonstrate not only his keen ear for a beat, but also the really nice lyricism and flow that he possesses.
