Okay, typically if I wanted to hear steel drums I would begrudgingly sit through a killer b2b set of subway performers in the Union Square L stop in NYC. I don’t know that noise in my house music. HOWEVER few have mastered the tropical house sound, one of whom is a saucy gent by the name of Matt DiMona. In his latest remix he gets super throwback and turns Fergie’s “Glamorous” into a sexual tropical house vibe that will make you feel like you’re partying with strippers in the carribean drinking pina coladas and touching each other (sorry mom). Speaking on the track Matt says, “I’m super nostalgic about the 2000’s pop from my teenage years. When it came to picking my next artist to remix, Fergie was the obvious choice. Her ability to create memorable, infectious pop hooks is practically unparalleled, and I knew that this song would be a great fit for my “feel good house” brand. I mean, how can you not love that “flossy flossy” line?” I mean he’s right, I can’t NOT love that flossy flossy line. That just reminded me I need to floss.
