Daniel Avery released his debut album Drone Logic through Phantasy Sound late last year, and it was a strong statement, simultaneously paying tribute to classic techno, house, and acid while combining them in inventive ways. Rather than follow trends, he reminded us how much unexplored territory there is even in the styles of years past, especially when the lines between them are blurry.
Now, as Avery prepares for a quick tour in the states, a video for album closer "Knowing We'll Be Here" has been released. A kaleidoscope of light follows the carefree rhythms swirling around an underwater woman, who fittingly seems like the matching face to the track's distant vocal loop.
