Nearly a decade and half after the premiere of their debut album, Genetic World, and over 500,000 records sold worldwide, the Parisian electronic collaborative known as Télépopmusik retain that same forward thinking and probing sound that created a distinction between the group and the rest of the electronic music scene then. Having spent the last year on the road riding the success of their Try Me Anyway/ Fever EP, the group comes back with their first single titled "Sound" that gives a peek at their third and forthcoming album.
Featuring a vocal assist by Mark Gardener, "Sound" regenerates the same solemn and reclusive synth-filled sounds we have grown to affiliate with Télépopmusik. Equally edgy is the video that comes along with it shot by Japanese Director, Toshiaki Toyoda. Depicting a monster caught in between two worlds amidst a cruel blizzard storm, the soft sounds and breath taking visuals balance out the experience from ever feeling too dark.
