Born out of Cleveland, SomeKindaWonderful are a five-piece that look to leave their mark on 2014. Carrying a sound that infuses retro styles with a contemporary twist, they are a week away from releasing their debut self-titled album, due out June 24th on Downtown Records.
While "Reverse", SomeKindaWonderful's first single off of the album, was received with rave reviews, its release just signifies the beginning of a plateau that should carry onwards. Filled with versatility, the debut blends elements of rock, pop, blues and other genres to create music that leaves a lasting impression.
With a different song from their album coming out each day until its June 24th release, we are premiering the soulful "Devilish Man". Supported by intricate layers of instrumentation, vocals carry the song forward, expressing their heavy presence through break in the playful musicianship. In all, "Devilish Man" is a fun and exciting nod at the past that stays true throughout.
