With Toronto's burgeoning deep house & techno landscape there's no shortage of quality producers that call the city home, and with record labels like No. 19, My Favourite Robot, and New Kanada making an international impact the last few years they have paved the way for upcoming labels to really make an impression in the underground house and techno world. Focusing on anything deep, the crew made up of Paul Quzz, Peter Lavalle, Steve Marto, Matias Busato, City Kid Soul, and Duke Tran has peaked our attention in advance of their record label launch & showcase this Saturday at SILO. The first EP is a 4 track deep tech journey from Paul Quzz with driving basslines and some ghetto vocals courtesy of Mobolaji, while label mate Peter Lavalle takes remix duties for "The Terminal" and takes the energy up a notch.

Blak is an emotion.
Blak is poetic.
Blak is not a colour.
We are, ALLBLAK.

Peter Lavalle also provides the second release from All Blak Records, with PX:12 EP, a similar deep tech venture feauturing a couple of standout tracks. That reverbed bass lead on "Give It" might make it the one that stays in my crates for some time to come, and with a stellar tech remix from Paul Quzz the EP feels like a complete package from the two upcoming Toronto producers and label heads.

This Saturday at SILO in Toronto the entire All Blak crew will be playing a special label showcase, opening things up with Duke Tran, followed by City Kid Soul. Steve Marto and Matias Busatowill play b2b in the headline slot while Paul and Peter will be closing the night out. As with every SILO Saturday you can get on EARMILK's guestlist ($10) so be sure to email rsvp-toronto@earmilk.com with your name to secure your spot.
