Illangelo and Phlo Finister stuns with "Clockwork"

Illangelo has been catching people's eyes since  The Weeknd's House of Balloons. He quickly rose in the production game as the one to watch, and he's pretty much been creating huge tracks for names like Wiz Khalifa and Florence and the Machine since then.

He's been working on his own career for a little while now, and it's been one hell of a road. His album, History of Man, was an ambitious attempt at recreating Milton's "Paradise Lost," and while he didn't quite meet the expectations that come with recreating a true literary masterpiece he's been still killing it anyways.

His most recent work is a track released by Bromance, and it's again a fantastic look into the growth of Illangelo. While I would definitely say that he's still in the process of finding and growing into his sound, "Clockwork" is a great look into how far he's come from since his days as The Weeknd's go to producer.

Using Phlo Finister's fantastic vocals to supplement the already superb instrumental, which came out in the Bromance compilation album, he creates a dark bass based song that highlights how far Illangelo has come. While still holding the dark ominous style that has made his name a household, he's brought some serious work to this piece. Overall, his partnership with the French label has proven to be the right choice for both label and artist.
