Detroit will forever be known as the birthplace of techno, with countless innovative artists paving the way for a generation of music to be born. Since 2000, the electronic music world has descended upon the post-industrial city for one weekend in May to celebrate the city and the music that has spawned so much. Now, Movement Electronic Music Festival in association with EARMILK & Wavo, is searching for the next generation of aspiring electronic producers and DJs. We're giving one talented artist the opportunity to share the stage with dance music's elite and perform on the Silent Disco stage at Movement presented by Ford and Sennheiser. If you've been to the festival before (make sure to check out our preview to hear some top mixes to get you excited for this year) then you know this competition will not be taken lightly, as even the biggest DJs in the world would consider a set like this a true honor.
Movement will be looking for the next big electronic act that best suits the vibe of the festival to come to the city that started it all and learn about the history, connect with legends and play on one the most sought after stages in the world. The winner gets a transportation and accommodations voucher and an all access pass for the weekend, as well as being featured on EARMILK!

Judging will be based on technique, song selection, and originality, so do yourself a favor and include a track listing, and since this is a Silent Disco the floor is wide open to all genres. We'll be selecting a winner with Paxahau and the Movement team before the festival kicks off!
