It seems like whatever the Australian indie band Tame Impala touches immediately turns into precious gems. They have taken the world by storm with their monster sophomore album Lonerism, which has awarded them bountiful fame and fortune. If you have been living under a rock for the past few years, they're a band that brings back that 60s and 70s psychedelic rock feel with modern indie twists.
Besides their highly addictive original material, they are also keen in covering songs from bands and artists they adores such as OutKast and Massive Attack. Next on their list happens to be the legendary Michael Jackson, and his song "Stranger In Moscow". Yes, it is quite unexpected that they chose to cover a lesser known song (relatively speaking) of his. Though if you have any idea of how the song goes, you can see why. "Stranger In Moscow" is an achy-breaky tune that naturally lends itself to Tame Impala's style. Stream their cover below for some mad nostalgia.
