From its humble beginnings at the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in Times Square to its current 3 day festival extravaganza in Asheville, North Carolina, Moogfest has always been a much respected music enthusiast haven. The multi-stage, multi-venue event honors the inspiration and legacy of Dr. Robert Moog, the inventor of the Moog Synthesizer.

Moogfest 14 is shaping up to be the biggest and baddest year yet, and with a lineup release only days away (set to drop December 19th), Moogfest 14 is giving us a sneak peak by unveiling the musical showcase curators for this year’s party. Gracing the stages this year, festival goers will find…

  •             Fool’s Gold – the well known label of A-Track and Nick Catchdubs that boasts roster of all star acts like Laidback Luke, Flosstradamus, and Chromeo.
  •             Crew Love – a collaborative concept from the record labels Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, and Double Standard, offering up unpredictable and crowd pleasing DJ sets of every kind.
  •             DFA – The showcase not to miss. With James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem at the helm, the label that claims “too old to be new, too new to be classic” promises big names and big talent.
  •             Warp Records – Known for its collection of indie dance artists like TNGHT, Flying Lotus, Aphex Twin, and Grizzly Bear.
  •             Ghostly International –  fusing together as an art gallery, design house, clothing designer, technology innovator, music-publishing company, and record label all in one, GI has become a platform for the worlds best visual artists.
  •             No. 19 Music – The Toronto based artists-breaking label gets it’s name from the 19th declaration of human rights, “Freedom of Expression”. Known worldwide as one of the most respected underground music labels, No. 19 has brought out artists such as Art Department, Fur Coast, NOIR, Agoria, Tim Green, Kate Simko, Blond:ish, and more.

Other curators announced for this year’s fest, which runs April 23-37, include AFROPUNK, RVNG Intl, Hopscotch, Switched On, and Driftless.

Pairing these impressive showcases with various workshops, speakers (including Giorgio Moroder), and, of course, the 4th Annual Moog Circuit Bending Challenge, synth-heads and electronic fans from all over have much to look forward to. Read more about this massive announcement here.
