Before all the Thanksgiving and Black Friday madness even begins Portuguese producer, Gunrose—one of Boysnoize Records' more underrated artists—delivers the calm before the storm with his newest track titled, "Always". Dished out as the second release under his own Free Smiles imprint, there will definitely be much to smile about after downloading and listening to his track. This chiller-than-usual approach is a promising incentive for many fans who only know Gunrose's acid-heavy techno sounds that tend to come out of his productions.

Using a straightforward formula of kick drums, synthesizers, claps, and riding hats, the fragrance composed attracts more than just your typical house enthusiast looking for a tune to warm up the mood. Just before we can classify this as a DJ tool, "Always" rapidly blooms into a charming harmony that doesn't seek to send you overboard with any promises of epic drops or massive rave basslines. Instead, Gunrose's self-proclaimed six minute tribute to Mr. Fingers pushes plenty of feeling and atmosphere along with the funk. It's music like this that always gets me smiling, and I hope it does the same for you (:
