Space age Australian band Empire of the Sun may make electronic music themselves, but somehow, their tracks are always begging to be remixed. I think it’s the more indie approach to vocals that we get from Luke Steel that set tracks like “DNA” up to be ready to be launched into a takeover of many different genres. The remix EP of “DNA” that’s out this week includes appearances from this year’s highest paid DJ Calvin Harris, to fellow Aussie band who were also launched into global stardom from the exposure of the dance remixes done of their own tracks, The Aston Shuffle. But the remixes done by the extraordinary remixer with a quirky take on pop, tech and club music all together, Alex Metric, San Francisco's dubstep "lite" group The M Machine, cult techno king Brodinski and up and coming trap artist Ta-ku are what make this EP so interesting. Take a listen to the tracks below to find your favorite – its’ hard to decide.
