The Brooklyn based duo known as The Golden Pony have reached back into their vintage collection to revive Simon & Garfunkel’s 1695 classic “The Sound of Silence”. The track initially written by Paul Simon in the aftermath of JFK’s assassination back in 63’ boosted the pair to mainstream recognition. The original tagline for the song read: “We’ve Got A Groovy Thing Goin,’ and not much has changed since that time, as the afro loving-disco making pair breathe a fresh newfound energy into the modern day version. Rocking a funky bassline and bleeping synths, TGP, urge this remix to be played into the early hours on the dancefloor. Get ready to go on a musical journey back in time, as this is the first installment of their "Golden Classics" series. The initiative will see the twosome put their fresh and funky hands on influential tracks starting in the 60's and running up through the 90's era.
