Looking back on my days as an indie kid, I’d have to say that The Presets were of those bands that allowed me to transition into the electronic genres. With those synth-filled hits, like “If I Know You”, and their fun reimagination of Madonna’s “Hung Up”, “Hung Down”, only time could tell when I would be a full-fledged house maniac. That day surely came, and with it also came one of my favorite songs, “Fire In Your New Shoes”, the eerily beautiful track from Kaskade’s Dynasty album, featuring the vocals of Dragonette’s Martina Sorbara. If you’d like a chance to see these indie electronic bands in action and you live in New York, then May 8th is for you. This Wednesday they will be playing at Terminal 5, along with the help of  veteren disco-inspired DJs, Classixx, presented by EARMILK. Tickets/Info
