Today's delivery is brought to you by iamamiwhoami. This electronic music project is spearheaded by Swedish singer-songwriter Joanna Lee and gets production efforts from Claes Björklund. I use the term "project" because she chose to make this endeavor more than just about the music, also incorporating a much-needed multimedia/video experience. With the release of their latest album, Kin, there is also an DVD that consists of a visual experience that goes along with all 9 tracks.
If you break down the actual sound of the music; the group exists in a place where synth-pop, chillwave and ambient meet and never let any specific style dominate. This blend, although not unique, is perfectly executed by iamamiwhoami. If you hadn't heard much of them before, you'll instantly scold yourself for being late to the show. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Good Worker", which I've also included the video for. I could have pretty much included the whole album, so it was a bit tough to choose one track and I ended up having to include the track "Play"(the right subwoofer/bass setup actually makes this the superior choice).
