42 DUGG could be headed for stardom. Last week it was announced that the Detroit rapper signed with Yo Gotti's CMG label in collaboration with Lil Baby's 4PF. On Friday, he released his new mixtape Young and Turnt. The project is filled with bass-heavy production from Antt Beatz and Detroit producer Helluva; it sees features from rap stars like Yo Gotti, Tee Grizzley, Blac Youngsta, Lil Baby, Peewee Longway, and others.

42 DUGG's sound as exciting as his career is getting to be. At times he toys with gritty, winding melodies while there are no shortage of moments that hear him spit with a more bouncy cadence. From the first few seconds of the mixtape's first song, "Whole City AKA Prada Me," he puts Detroit on his back; he never lets this hunger escape him throughout the project's 12 tracks. Aside from "Whole City AKA Prada Me," highlights include the Babyface Ray-assisted banger "Streets" and the Yo Gotti-assisted track "You Da One." Press play on 42 DUGG's new mixtape Young and Turnt up above.
