Enamour and SAM SHI capture chemical tension on "What U Said" via Crosstown Rebels

Los Angeles producer Enamour has returned to Crosstown Rebels with "What U Said," a new single built around the vocals of artist and producer SAM SHI. The release arrives coupled with a remix from label regular Bonafique.

"What U Said" moves through Enamour's blend of deep house warmth and progressive lift, built around the moment a few words turn physical, when something said out loud sets off a reaction you can't take back. SAM SHI's vocal carries that tension through the track, holding it in a tight space that artfully bridges the gap between fun and sexy.

"'What U Said' has been one of my favorites since Enamour and I first started working on it together, and every time I've played it in a set, I watch the whole room tap into that chemical tension," shares SAM SHI. "There's something about it that hits that perfect sweet spot between fun and sexy, and I live for that moment when you can feel it land. Having Bonafique remix it feels like a natural extension of that energy."

"It taps into the same quirky energy as my other records on the label, which I think heightens the feeling of surprise as the instrumental meanders underneath SAM SHI's vocal," Enamour adds.

Bonafique's rework keeps the original's tension intact while pushing it further into a deeper, more hypnotic groove, a natural fit given the duo's reputation for instinct-driven productions on Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, and Maccabi House.

The single follows SAM SHI's vocal feature on Nico Szabo and Aske Izan's "Aside," released earlier this summer on Anjunadeep Explorations. Between these two releases, the Los Angeles-based artist continues building a run of features that places her voice at the center of two of dance music's most respected rosters.

For Enamour, the release marks his latest with the Crosstown Rebels family following his Hippy Flip EP, released in September 2025 on the label's Rebellion imprint. Born Michael Gold and raised outside Washington D.C., he has built a catalog spanning deep house, progressive house, and techno, with support from Solomun, Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, and Hernan Cattaneo, and releases on Anjunadeep, Diynamic, and Get Physical.

"What U Said" is out now via Crosstown Rebels.
