Manchester-based indie trio Bank Holiday make a bold and confident entrance with radiant debut single "Out Of The Blue," an anthemic offering built on bright, high energy guitars, punchy drums and grounding bassline to craft a playful musical experience steeped in the nostalgia of 90s alt-rock.
Led by catchy melodies and tongue-in-cheek lyricism, the track is rooted in a sense of unpredictability and fun as they attempt to weave as many well known sayings and idioms into the lyrics. Speaking of the track, lead singer Mac McCartney says, "It started off as a bit of a challenge, but it ended up shaping the whole track. Luke Owens, our guitarist, records all of our stuff in his studio himself, which gave us the freedom to experiment with the track over the course of a few months and also to keep it feeling natural. It’s a song about unpredictability really, how things can change when you least expect it, but also very open ended at the same time."
Built on long-standing friendships and their shared passion, Bank Holiday who have each shaped their own musical identity, now find their space as a trio, steadily building momentum and connections with their uplifting and energetic artistry.
