Los Angeles based punk rock disruptors Drama Dolls have just unleashed their latest ferocious single "Robot". The track is shared alongside a colorful music video showing the trio of musicians as they thrill with their dynamic stage presence. "Robot" is the first taste off of their forthcoming second album.
With "Robot", Drama Dolls share a fiery, fun and relatable track all about screaming out one's rage. World events have been crazy and upsetting and with their new single, Drama Dolls gives us all a reason to sing and scream along getting out that anger and tension in a melodic musical way. The song channels their emotions through a storm of screaming at “Dave”, from Kubrick’s famous 2001: A Space Odyssey. The song is resistance to giving up when everything feels like it is following apart. Lyrics including, "I've got a question for you / What's it gunna take? / We are gunna break it," shows this narrative.
Musically, "Robot" features stacked electric guitars, thunderous drums and a hook that sticks. Colliding instrumentation under fierce vocals add to the song's allure. The music video features the trio performing with intercuts of them as robots dancing for a fun watch.
Formed by Egg, Scrambles and Mama-T, Drama Dolls are proving that punk and rock music shouldn't have an age limit. The three release irresistible music blending hard rock with old-school SoCal punk sounds. Check out "Robot" now and scream your heart out.
