San Francisco-based electronic duo Host Bodies unveil sleek house track  “Impossible Goodbyes,” showcasing a genre-bending artistry the blends modernity and nostalgia.

Encapsulating emotional depth and dancefloor energy, the warm, vivid track taps into soaring beats, subtle basslines and guitar-driven textures to create a luscious, atmospheric vibe. An ode to moments and people lost in time, fading familiarity, growth and loss, the track brings with quiet ache and gentle upliftment all at once.

Speaking of production of the track, they say, "Impossible Goodbyes started out an idea from an ‘everyday’ creative challenge. I was making a 16-bar drum and bass loop everyday and on that particular day we were shooting footage for the Hourglass video at Ocean Beach. During our break, I went down to the old piano in the garage and sounded out the baseline.” I remember premiering a demo version of the track for the Headroom producer meet-up at Halcyon in San Francisco. There were all these techno and EDP kids there. Nobody else had guitar in their tracks. They didn’t know how to categorize us.  I remember one kid saying he had noticed our kickdrum had different velocities instead of the standard pounding techno kick.”

Showcasing the signature dance-meets-hip-hop musicality that they’ve shaped for  over a decade, Host Bodies – consisting of James Collector and Nick Hess – have carved out a space for themselves where expansive rich melodies meet grounding musical moments.
