Global K-pop powerhouse ATEEZ marked a bold crossover between K-pop and electronic music with the remix version of their hit single “In Your Fantasy.”

Joining forces with Korean-American electronic artist Yaeji, the new version infused an experimental underground yet dreamy touch to ATEEZ’s mesmerizing artistry. Speaking to Earmilk, the eight-piece act – consisting of HONGJOONG, SEONGHWA, YUNHO,YEOSANG,SAN, MINGI ,WOOYOUNG and JONGHO – dive into the collaboration, their sonic evolution, and what to expect from them next.

On the sonic signature of the remix, SEONGHWA says, “The remix version of “In Your Fantasy” keeps the original’s seductive and dreamy atmosphere, but adds a groovier, more rhythmic layer that completely reinterprets the track. It’s not just about watching a performance… It invites fans to physically immerse themselves in the music and have fun with it.”

While SAN describes the collaboration as one that “widened the world of ATEEZ’s music,” YUNHO reflected,”For me, the three words to describe this collaboration would be “passion,""fun,” and “discovery.” The process itself was so enjoyable, and it allowed us to add a different flavor to our music. I hope ATINY can really feel that passion when they listen.”

With plenty of acclaim to their name – including a historic U.S. stadium performance at Citi Field in New York City – ATEEZ look back at their artistry as one where they’ve learned to express themselves with more depth over time.

WOOYOUNG reflects, “In our early days, our stages were all about passion and energy, but now we can layer in more delicate emotions and meaningful messages. Through trying different genres and concepts, we’ve been sharpening our own unique color,” with Mingi elaborating, “Over time, I’ve noticed my songwriting and musical style becoming more layered. In the past, I focused on pouring out raw emotions, but now I try to translate them into different sounds and interpretations.”

Reflecting further on their penchant for experimentation and genres they’d love to try in the future, HONGJOONG adds “We’ve always challenged ourselves with many genres, but if I could experiment with something new, I’d love to try jazz or Latin music. The stronger the rhythm, the more room we have to explore dynamic performances on stage, and that creates a bigger energy exchange with our fans. It’s always exciting and meaningful to express a completely different mood in our own ATEEZ way.”

Coming off the release of the extended version of their 12th EP, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3 ‘In Your Fantasy Edition, which included eight solo tracks from each member, the band is looking ahead to challenging themselves further.

On the topic of future plans, JONGHO says, “Right now, we’re balancing our tour with upcoming projects, so every day feels busy – but exciting. We’re continuing to work on new music, and we have a lot of ideas brewing to show ATINY even more diverse and exciting sides of ATEEZ. As always, we’re preparing with all our hearts so we can deliver beyond expectations.”

Highlighting their love for performance and touring, YEOSANG adds,  What excites me most is the thought of meeting ATINY face to face on tour. That connection is something I treasure deeply. Beyond the stages, we’re already thinking ahead to new music and concepts that will let ATINY see even more sides of us. I just want to keep creating memories that fans can hold onto for a long time, and show them how much their support means to us.

Rooted in a distinct sonic identity that continues to evolve effortlessly.  ATEEZ reinforce their status as a genre-defying group that crafts expressive, refreshing stories for us to sink our teeth into.
