In a world that can often feel overwhelming, the Canadian-American duo Somewhere In Between brings us a song that feels like a calming breath. Their new single, "Lay Your Head on Me," is a heartfelt track that gently reminds us that love is our safest haven. This track is the first glimpse of their upcoming second album and shows how much they've grown as artists. While their first album, Stories Untold, was admired for its honest and personal stories, "Lay Your Head on Me" takes us into a more cinematic and emotional space. It beautifully combines modern indie folk sounds with timeless songwriting, making it feel both personal and relatable for everyone.

The song draws inspiration from artists known for their emotional depth, like Thom Yorke and Tom Odell, while also showcasing a chemistry similar to Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. Yet, Somewhere In Between has a unique style of their own. Their harmonies, acoustic sound, and heartfelt lyrics place them alongside beloved indie folk bands like The Lumineers and Bon Iver. "Lay Your Head on Me" encourages us to pause, relax, and connect. The way Robertson and Bisnow sing together creates an intimate atmosphere, painting a picture of love that rises above all the chaos around us. This song speaks not only about romantic love, but also about our universal need for community, safety, and a sense of belonging. Since they first emerged, Somewhere In Between has been making their mark in the indie folk scene.

With nearly 3 million streams, sold-out concerts across the U.S., and features in magazines like Earmilk and Wonderland, they have captured the attention of a growing audience. Their success even landed them on Norway's Viral 50 and Spotify's Fresh Folk playlist, solidifying their reputation as a rising force in meaningful music. With "Lay Your Head on Me," Somewhere In Between reminds us why music is so important during difficult times. Their upcoming album promises to build on this idea, but for now, this single offers a track for anyone seeking comfort amid life's storms.
