1tbsp Returns with Addictive, Catchy New Single "Rush (Missing Out On Me)

Returning with his new  "Rush" (Missing Out On Me), Australian producer 1tbsp showcases his unique skills in creating layered electronic pop that both hypnotizes and uplifts. Teaming up with Australian/Venezuelan artist cherry chola and Australian artist Purient, 1tbsp blends vibrant percussion, lush textures, and a bilingual vocal performance that breathes life into the track’s emotional core.

The song begins with a minimal setup: a crisp percussion line and a delicate melody that lays the groundwork for what's to come. A female vocal soon emerges, spotlighted by the stripped-back production that gives her voice a sense of intimacy and immediacy. As the track progresses, a groovy, subtle bassline kicks in, followed by warm, dreamy chords that give the song a soulful depth. It’s addictive in the best way- the kind of track that you could play on repeat without feeling the need to change it.

The chorus is undeniably catchy, and just when you think you've settled into the song’s rhythm, a more intense, robotic instrumental section adds a dynamic twist. This added texture elevates the listening experience, creating a rich, immersive atmosphere before gently looping back to the familiar vocal motif. The track closes out with the return of the female vocal, giving the song a sense of cohesion and completeness.

Speaking about the song, 1tbsp shared, “I wanted it to feel like a late-night conversation on the dancefloor- intimate, but buzzing with energy.”

If you're anything like me and can't wait to see "Rush" live, you can catch 1tbsp at his Hotel Living / Australian Tour starting this May, and North American fans can watch him supporting Disclosure in Salt Lake City and performing at Electric Forest and Shambhala festivals. You won’t want to miss it.
