Brighton’s Canned Pineapple return with Big Break, a six-track dive into fuzzy guitars, catchy hooks and playful lyricism. Produced by Tom Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, The Bug Club), the EP captures the band’s high-energy indie-rock sound, blending post-punk grit with flashes of psychedelia and nostalgic doo-wop.
“‘Big Break’ is our tongue-in-cheek exploration of the idea that a band can ‘make it’ in the modern world and whether or not it’s just a fallacy exclusive to being printed in history… [we've been] growing into adults together while in each other's pockets as well as the pursuit for something bigger."
Now entering their fourth year together, the band—frontman Seán Drury, guitarist Oakley Gardiner, bassist Gabe Rice, and drummer Charlie Pringle—have poured their shared highs, lows and living-room epiphanies into a record that feels both raw and celebratory.
Following a standout performance at New York’s New Colossus Festival earlier this year, Canned Pineapple are set for a packed tour schedule into 2025. Big Break cements Canned Pineapple's sound: bold, fun, and full of heart.
