Manchester-based DJ-producer Rohaan makes a bold statement with the launch of his new label, OVAL, debuting with his electrifying OVAL 001 EP. Across four tracks, he showcases his ability to blur genres, weaving together elements of grime, drum & bass, and experimental bass music into a seamless, high-energy listening experience.

Opening with "El Conde," a track inspired by the Chilean film of the same name, Rohaan flexes his production prowess, effortlessly shifting between 140 BPM grime and 172 BPM drum & bass. Meanwhile, "guess i’ll call you back" follows with an emotive, atmospheric approach, layering crisp percussion over haunting melodies that pull listeners deeper into his sonic world.

Things take a darker turn with "Anntower," an eerie, off-kilter cut that pushes the boundaries of traditional electronic structures. The EP closes with "Passion," a high-octane rush of skittering drum breaks and soaring melodies, proving once again that Rohaan thrives on unpredictability.

With OVAL 001, Rohaan cements his place at the forefront of forward-thinking bass music, delivering a debut release on his new label that’s both sonically diverse and expertly curated. If this EP is any indication, OVAL is set to be a powerhouse for cutting-edge electronic sounds.
