Klovis Gaynor & The Urinal Cake is a new musical project headed by NYC based, queer artist, Klovis Gaynor along with musicians Brayden Baird, Dane Bundschuh, Josh Hausman and Larah Helayne. Their latest release is called "MYSOPHILIAC" and it follows the EP release of Baby Pink Spliffs shared last year.
With "MYSOPHILIAC", the musical collective shares a new song that celebrates freedom of love and sexuality, kink and exploration. The track is taken from the ancient Greek prefix ‘myso’ meaning ‘filth’ and ‘philia’ meaning ‘love’ and it celebrates those that find pleasure in the dark and grungy sides of life. He sings passionately showing this theme, "Chasing chaos / Disgusting / Give Me More." The song features post punk rhythms, colliding beats, and blistering guitars for a fascinating and enticing listen. A hectic chorus filled with raw vocals and a relentless delivery, makes for a chaotic yet cathartic spirit. It's a a high-octane anthem of hedonism that grabs your attention and never lets go.
"MYSOPHILIAC" is the last single off of the band's upcoming album SAVE ME 4 THE SPANK BANK. The band plans on sharing a short film to accompany the song that will be released later this year. Check out "MYSOPHILIAC" now and don't feel shame for your desires.
